Estimating Spatial Layout of Rooms using Volumetric Reasoning about Objects and Surfaces

چکیده
There has been a recent push in extraction of 3D spatial layout of scenes. However, none of these approaches model the 3D interaction between objects and the spatial layout. In this paper, we argue for a parametric representation of objects in 3D, which allows us to incorporate volumetric constraints of the physical world. We show that augmenting current structured prediction techniques with volumetric reasoning significantly improves the performance of the state-of-the-art.

مدلسازی روابط توپولوژیک سه بعدی فازی در محیط GIS
Nowadays, geospatial information systems (GIS) are widely used to solve different spatial problems based on various types of fundamental data: spatial, temporal, attribute and topological relations. Topological relations are the most important part of GIS which distinguish it from the other kinds of information technologies. One of the important mechanisms for representing topological relations...
متن کاملThe occipital place area represents the local elements of scenes
Neuroimaging studies have identified three scene-selective regions in human cortex: parahippocampal place area (PPA), retrosplenial complex (RSC), and occipital place area (OPA). However, precisely what scene information each region represents is not clear, especially for the least studied, more posterior OPA. Here we hypothesized that OPA represents local elements of scenes within two independ...
متن کاملSEEING THE WORLD BEHIND THE IMAGE Spatial Layout for 3D Scene Understanding
When humans look at an image, they see not just a pattern of color and texture, but the world behind the image. In the same way, computer vision algorithms must go beyond the pixels and reason about the underlying scene. In this dissertation, we propose methods to recover the basic spatial layout from a single image and begin to investigate its use as a foundation for scene understanding. Our s...
متن کاملExtending the Qualitative Trajectory Calculus Based on the Concept of Accessibility of Moving Objects in the Paths
Qualitative spatial representation and reasoning are among the important capabilities in intelligent geospatial information system development. Although a large contribution to the study of moving objects has been attributed to the quantitative use and analysis of data, such calculations are ineffective when there is little inaccurate data on position and geometry or when explicitly explaining ...
متن کاملA Coarse-to-Fine Indoor Layout Estimation (CFILE) Method
The task of estimating the spatial layout of cluttered indoor scenes from a single RGB image is addressed in this work. Existing solutions to this problems largely rely on hand-craft features and vanishing lines, and they often fail in highly cluttered indoor rooms. The proposed coarse-to-fine indoor layout estimation (CFILE) method consists of two stages: 1) coarse layout estimation; and 2) fi...
